Sacramento Eateries

Crazy to say, but my last days here in Davis are drawing near. Ironically, what I currently regret the most is not adventuring through the endless doors of food kingdom… in Sacramento! After 3.5 straight years of complaining on the lack of variety, I’ve discovered my deep appreciation for Yelp and have used it wisely ever since …well about 2 months ago. You will be surprised by the interesting goto places Sacramento has to offer, trust Yelp—it has yet to fail me! 

TAKO: For weeks i’ve been meaning to find the time to check out a well known mexican+korean fusion eatery in Sacramento. It was interesting to say the least: the korean spicy bulgogi, topped with a fresh slaw and matched with the flavorful corn tortilla. A messy dinner—with hands completely covered in red sauce, but definitely a one of a kind place to check out! 

Hot Italian: During the first week of my internship ‘Hot Italian’ was the talk around me. Being a client of the company I intern at, I had to make a trip there myself. The interior is spacious + accompanied by massive tables in every shape- perfect for big parties. I’ll be honest, i’ve never been a huge fan of pizza. However, I  confidently title this very modern italian place as my favorite pizza venue yet! (And their gelato…I mean come ON!—to die for.) 

Blackbird Kitchen & Bar: I didn’t want anything too fancy for our ‘one year anniversary’ dinner, so we decided to Yelp up a hip and mouth waterin’ venue. I’ve seen the building of this place from afar, but never knew what to expect from the kitchen. With a solid seafood menu (& just  missing the happy hour $1 oysters by 5 minutes..!!!) the raw scallops appetizer, the clam chowder (not pictured) and the muscles were all $$ but so finger-lickin’ good! 

I am not too picky with food, so my opinions may seem overly positive. HAHA
